XXXVIIth International Conference of the
Round Table on Archives (CITRA)

Introduction

The International Conference of the Round Table on Archives (CITRA) is the annual meeting of heads of national archival institutions, of chairpersons of national professional associations and of chairpersons of sections and committees of the International Council on Archives. The National Archives and Records Service of South Africa has the honour to host the XXXVIIth CITRA in Cape Town between 20-25 October 2003.

While participation in the conference is limited to the office-bearers indicated above and is not open to the public, information concerning the event is being published on the website for the convenience of delegates.

Special notice to delegates

A Conference travel agent has been appointed to coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements according to the list of hotel accommodation. If delegates make independent travel arrangements, it would be appreciated if they could inform the Conference organizers of their full flight and accommodation details to ensure that airport transfers can be arranged. A shuttle service will be provided between the conference venue and hotels on the list. However, if delegates stay at hotels that are not on the list, they would need to provide their own transport to the conference venue. The contact person for the Conference organizers is Mr Given Mashila of Events Management, Department of Arts and Culture.
